Prospective Members

Graduate membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated^® is by invitation only. Women with bachelor’s or advanced degree(s) from accredited four-year colleges or universities may be eligible for graduate membership. An active graduate chapter will extend an authorized and written membership letter of invitation upon approval of the official Membership Intake Process to prospective members. Please read the Anti-Hazing policies for Alpha Kappa Alpha.

You are welcome to acquaint yourself with the community efforts that impact South Gwinnett County, Georgia. We, however, cannot further advise you how to seek membership besides being an asset to the community in which you live and work. Please find more information at our international organization’s website.

Reactivation or Transfers

Alpha Alpha Pi Omega welcomes members interested in reactivating or transferring to our chapter. Please note the following prerequisites:

Membership Reactivation Requirements

• Bring a recent financial card and picture ID; or
• Bring an Ivy Leaf^® magazine bearing your name on the attached address label along with a picture ID; or
• Bring your transfer verification form bearing the proper signatures from your last chapter affiliation along with a picture ID.

Membership Transfer Requirements

• Bring a recent financial card and picture ID; or
• Bring an Ivy Leaf^® magazine bearing your name on the attached address label attached along with a picture ID; or
• Bring your transfer verification form bearing the proper signatures from your last chapter affiliation with the proper signatures along with a picture ID.

As a note, the Constitution and Bylaws, Article 4, Section 43, states that a member must clear through the Alpha Kappa Alpha Corporate Office all financial obligations to her former chapter and the governing body before receiving her transfer.
